Christ
Renews His Parish is the annual men's retreat and
women's retreat in our parish. Groups continue to meet weekly after
the completion of the retreat weekend. |

Cooking for the Priests

Volunteers are needed
to prepare and deliver a hot meal to the parish priests at the
rectory on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Meals are dropped off
at 5:30 PM after being prepared in the cook's house. |

Fellowship Club
|
This club is for those 55 and over and
provides the opportunity for a friendly
atmosphere and companionship by sponsoring cultural, religious,
educational, recreational and fun activities for our parish seniors.
Fellowship meets once a month for social activities. Some are at the
church and some are off campus. |

Funeral Luncheon
|
On the first and third Sundays of each
month after the 7:30 AM, 9:00
AM and 10:30 AM Masses, parishioners are invited to the Chelsea Room
for fellowship. Donuts, bagels, juice, and coffee are served. Volunteers are needed to
set-up, serve refreshments, and clean up.
This ministry works on an "on-call" basis to prepare and serve meals
in the Chelsea Room for families following the funeral of a loved
one. Volunteers are needed to make calls, prepare food, serve
the meal and clean up afterwards. |

Buildings and Grounds

This committee meets at 8:00 AM. on the
fourth Thursday of each month to review the upkeep and maintenance of
the parish facilities. It makes recommendations for repairs,
improvements, and maintenance. Volunteers are needed to help maintain
our facilities. We call on parishioners when we have specific
needs such as plumbing, electrical wiring, moving phone
outlets/computer outlets, painting, moving
furniture, building walls, repairing window caulking, snow shoveling,
and gardening. If you have a skill and can help on an “as needed”
basis, please let us know. |

Knights of Columbus
|
The K of C is a Catholic men’s
organization devoted to charitable
works and fraternal
activities. They have regular meetings each month and sponsor several
of the outreach projects in our parish. |

Ministers of Care

These volunteers visit the sick and bring
communion to hospital
patients, nursing
home residents, and the homebound. Visits are weekly or monthly on
Sundays or weekdays. Training is provided. |

Ministers of Hope

Compassionate parishioners train to attend wakes, assist at funerals
and remain in contact with bereaved families up to a year after the
death of their loved one. |

Parish Picnic
|
The annual Parish Picnic is
fun for the whole family. Volunteers are needed to help organize and
plan details for the afternoon of games, food, and fun. |

Religious Education Board

This board supports and assists the
Director of Religious Education in the implementation of policies and programs. They give input and participate
in projects to improve the quality of religious education in the
parish. They meet approximately six times a year. |
Reverse Collection
Victoria Roush |
This monthly ministry collects food and
other items for service organizations in the Elgin area.
Volunteers are needed to pass our slips after Masses the third
weekend of the month and sort and pack donated items after Masses on
the fourth Sunday of the month. |

Transportation

Volunteers will bring parishioners to and
home from church
occasionally or on a regular basis. |
