Parish boys
and girls, grades six through tenth,
assist the priest
during Mass and special liturgies. Students serve at weekend
liturgies every other month and at daily Masses. |

Church Decorating

Volunteers help
construct a prayerful environment for the seasons of
Advent/Christmas, Lent/Easter and special occasions. Knowledge
of horticulture, sewing and design helpful, but not necessary. |
Eucharistic Adoration

Adoration takes place on the third Wednesday of the month
beginning at 7:30 AM and ending with Benediction at 7:30 PM..
During the summer months, Adoration begins at 9 AM. |

Eucharistic Ministers

Parishioners who have a strong devotion to the Eucharist may
distribute the Eucharist at Mass. The
appointment is for a three-year period and the commitment is to serve
one to three times each month. You may also serve on Holy Days,
including holidays. Training involves two sessions of practical
training initially and one session of spiritual enrichment each year. |

Greeters

Volunteer individuals and families meet
parishioners at the church doors
as they arrive for Mass. You will be assigned approximately one Mass
per month. |
Laundering Linens

Wash and iron sacred linens or wash and
polish vessels used at Mass. Volunteers rotate on a weekly basis |

Lectors

The lector proclaims the
message of God's word in the Scriptures and leads the assembly in
prayer.
Lectors review and prepare their readings a week in advance.
Training is provided. |

Liturgical Planning

This committee of volunteers meets every
4-6 weeks to plan, prepare,
and evaluate parish Masses and celebrations for each season of the
Church year. |

Music Ministers

This ministry includes a variety of
groups to suit different talents and
abilities. Choirs
rehearse weekly September through May. Youth Choir (Grades 3-8) sings
at 10:30 AM Mass on the first and third Sunday of the month. Adult
Choir sings at 9:00 Mass every weekend. Instrumentalists of all types
are sought to play on an occasional or regular basis. The cantor
leads the assembly in singing at Mass on a regular basis. Music
background is necessary, training is provided, and rehearsal is
required. |

Ushers

Ushers are called on to provide various
services prior to, during, and
after the
celebration of the Liturgy. These services ensure the comfort and
safety of the assembly and also assist in the orderly execution of the
liturgical activities. Volunteers alternate months in the same time
frame. |
