Adopt A Garden

Choose a garden to tend on the church grounds.  Responsible for planting and upkeep of flowers through the summer and fall clean up.

Commitment:  Seasonal / As needed.

Bereavement Ministry

Participants will undergo a short training period, then go on to share our Lord’s love and healing with all who mourn a loss through death.  Ministers, with guidance, will offer bereavement support through personal follow-up and/or referral.

Commitment:  Three hours of training; as needed and available.

Buildings & Grounds Maintenance

Volunteers garden, water, shovel snow, and provide assistance with small repairs and projects.

Commitment:  As needed and available.

Cooking for the Priests

Volunteers prepare and deliver a hot meal to the priests on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

Commitment:  Scheduled once every 6-8 weeks.

Divorce Ministry
Parishioners who have experienced divorce are available to answer questions and guide others who are experiencing divorce or annulments.  
Commitment:  Variable

Fellowship Club

Parishioners age 55 and over meet monthly for social activities.  Events include cultural, educational, and religious outings at the parish or off-site.

Commitment: Meets the fourth Tuesday of the month for two hours.

Finance Council

Parishioners advise the pastor regarding financial needs of the parish.  Ability to interpret and read financial reports & budgets preferred.

Commitment:   Meets 4-6 times per year.

Friendship Sunday

Volunteers needed on the first and third Sundays of each month to set up, serve, and clean up.  Parishioners enjoy donuts, juice, coffee, and conversation.

Commitment:   September-May, after the 7:30, 9:00 or 10:30 AM Mass

Funeral Luncheons

Volunteers prepare and/or serve side dishes and desserts for funeral luncheons.  Callers contact volunteers to bring items for the luncheon.

Commitment:   Need varies, between 3-8 times a year.

Knights of Columbus

Catholic men’s organization devoted to charitable works and fraternal activities.  Sponsor outreach projects throughout the year, including fundraising for the school and church.

Commitment:   Monthly meetings.

Mailings

Volunteers stuff envelopes for parish mailings, on weekdays around 9:00 am.

Commitment:   As needed.

Ministry of Care

Volunteers visit and bring Communion the sick in hospitals, care facilities or at their homes.

Commitment:   Weekly or monthly on Sundays and/or weekdays.

Parish Nursery

Volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for children during 10:30 Mass.  No training needed, but Protecting God’s Children Workshop required.

Commitment:   Varies, usually once a month.

Parish Picnic

Volunteers and chairpersons organize and plan details, as well as provide direction for this summer afternoon of games, food, and fun.

Commitment:   Planning meetings prior to the picnic and participation on the day.

Coordinator:   Needed each year.

 

Pastoral Council

Parishioners advise the pastor regarding the spiritual needs of the parish.

Commitment:   Meets Wednesday evenings quarterly.

School Education Commission

Parishioners represent the Catholic community as it endeavors to assist school personnel in achieving its goals and philosophy.

Commitment:   Monthly meetings.

Stewardship Committee

Volunteers assist with communicating the stewardship message to the parish community.  Members will participate in planning and developing materials for time/talent
and treasure campaigns.
