  • Women's Prayer Group

We are women, who, regardless of age, marital status, and children, come together every week to pray the Rosary under the mantle of Our Mother, the Virgin Mary.  Everyone is welcome to voice their specific intentions before starting our group Rosary, thus creating a powerful bond among all of us, which helps us remain spirititually connected and deeply aware of all our individual intentions.

After each decade we read reflections from different sources which help us meditate every Mystery in a more profound way.  Upon completion of the Rosary we usually discuss the day's Scripture or some other spiritual topic.

If you are new to the Rosary or do not know to pray it we welcome you.  There is no registration.  Join us as you are able.  Children are welcome.

As a fruit of our prayers and over the course of time we have perfomed some community service work to help the needy in the St. Thomas More Parish and community. We welcome you to join us as you are able.

For more information please contact Sharon Hall in the parish office or at shall@stthomasmorechurch.org

  • Divorce Healing Ministry

St. Thomas More Divorce Healing Ministry

Being a divorced Catholic is something that can be widely misunderstood.  Can I still recieve the Sacraments?  Do I need an anullmnet?  What do I do now?

We will once again be offering a session on Divorce Healing Ministry.  We will look to answer all those questions.  This group is for anyone who is divorced and looks to heal the wounds of that divorce.  It is a 12 week progam created to help divoreced men and women heal from their emotional wound, deepen their personal relationship with Chirst, and begin to live a full Sacramental life in the Catholic Church.

Our next session will begin Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 7:00pm.

We will be meeting at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church at 845 W. Main St. Dundee IL.

Contact Sharon Hall in the parish office to participate

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry

St. Thomas More Prayer Shawl Ministry has a morning group which meets on the first Thursday of every month at 9:15am and an evening group which meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm.  Both groups meet in the Westminster Room.

Prayer Shawls are created by knitting or crocheting.  Then they are shared with members of our community who are in need of our prayers.  You can also create shawls at home and bring them to the parish office and we add them to our shawls to be distributed.  The directions for the shawl are at the following link. Prayer shawl booklet.pub.  Contact Sharon Hall in the parish office for additional information.
