A lector is the person who proclaims the first or second reading at Mass. This person also may lead the Psalm (in the absence of a cantor) and the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass (in the absence of the deacon).
Lectors should be faithful Catholics who practice their faith.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion assist the priest during Mass with the reception of Holy Communion. Ministers must be fully intitated Catholics (have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation) and if they are married their marriage has been celebrated in a Catholic Church.

Youth and teens ages fifth grade and older assist the priest at weekend Masses and other sacraments. Training provided. Sign up below.

Ushers are teens, and adult men and women who help with collections at the Offetory and also help guide people at Communion. Ushers are able to choose the Mass times and dates that best fit their schedule. Sign up below

A Minister of Care visits people in the nursing homes or in their homes and brings the Eucharist to them. Ministers must be fully intitated Catholics (have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation) and if they are married their marriage has been celebrated in a Catholic Church. Nursing home visits- we have several nursing homes in within our parish boundaries and we have teams of volunteers who visit. Many volunteers visit on Sundays but volunteers can choose day and time to visit that works for their schedule.
Commitment: 1-2 times per month
Homebound visits- sometimes, due to an extended illness, or because of recovery from surgery, a parishioner is unable to come to Mass and asks for a Minister of Care to visit at their home. Volunteers coordinate with them the best day and time to visit.

Mass Coordinators prepare the altar and sanctuary for Mass. They also make certain that other liturgical minsiters are present and ready for the Mass.

A Minsiter of Hope assists with funerals. They prepare the altar and sanctuary for the Mass. They also act as a liasion for the parish in welcoming the family present for the funeral. Sign up below.
